Magic fountain and the MNAC

You can enjoy and see the night show of the musical dancing fountain at Placa Espanya. The kids will love it. The synchronized water is accompanied by loud music. It lasts fifteen minutes and leaves every half hour. If your children are interested in art, you can take them to the National Art Museum of Catalonia, which offers free admission from 3:30 p.m. on Saturday nights.

Montjuïc Castle

Children will love exploring the castle. This fortress is situated on a mountain and you can enjoy great views. Going down from the bridge, there is a cafeteria where you can have a snack and a playground with some impressive slides for children. You can also enjoy a picnic with your family as there is a picnic area. If you like to walk, you can go to the grassy area just to the left of the entrance.

The beach

Barcelona is known for a long stretch of sandy coastline. You can take your children to the beach for a cool and refreshing swim. Bogatell beach is one of the most popular beaches in Barcelona to go with children.

Giants Market and La Boqueria

Food markets are always the best place to visit with children. You have a lot of fun and La Boqueria is the best food market in Barcelona. You can also see some of the Giants of the city of Barcelona here.

Public parks: Ciutadella Park

It is a beautiful place and site of the universal exhibition of 1888. It is located in the center of the city. It is the best place for a picnic. The park is equipped with ping pong tables, a lake with ducks and geese, playgrounds, a sculpture of a giant mammoth, and a beautiful fountain.

Horta Maze Park: Have you ever tried a real life maze? This is the best park to have fun with the whole family. Admission to the park is free on Wednesdays and Sundays. It’s a beautiful area to explore, but you can’t have a picnic here.
