The timing has been good for a song title by these ten artists

On the way back from visiting my daughters at college in Cincinnati, I stopped at a convenience store for a soda and a newspaper. I easily spotted the drink in the back of the store, but had less success finding a newspaper.

I searched every conceivable place in each of the corridors, but I didn’t find a newspaper or even a shelf. He knew that the papers would eventually become obsolete, but not so soon.

The cashier finally got annoyed by my presence and asked if I needed any help. I asked if they had the Timesto which he looked at his cell phone and rudely said “4:37.”

Noticing our lack of communication, I explained that I was talking about the New York newspaper that was published in almost every city in the country. She reached behind the counter and placed a copy next to the register.

I paid the amount he mumbled, wondering why the store kept the newspapers in such a secure place. If no one reads the newspapers anymore, what was the point of taking extra precautions to prevent them from being stolen?

As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot, Led Zeppelin’s “Good Times, Bad Times” blasted into the classic rock station. I reflected on how the song was really appropriate at the time, seeing that getting the part was good but my search was bad.

Then I started thinking about all the songs with time in the title, but there were too many to consider. Instead, I came up with a list of ten artists who have songs called simply “Time.”
