10 Silliest Truck Stories!

As I reported in my previous article, ‘The World’s Top 10 Dumb Truck Stories’, trucks and truck drivers seem to make a habit of engaging in some of the wackiest news in the world. Well, with a little digging, I’ve uncovered many more ridiculous truck stories. Here is my second top 10!

A trucker made a 100-mile trip with a live chicken under the hood. The truck driver only heard the chicken clucking when he arrived at an Asda depot near Chepstow, Monmouthshire. Transport employee Alex Viljoen said: ‘The truck driver was afraid to pick up the bird. He was a little hot and had oil on his feathers, but he seemed happy enough. The chicken was taken to vet Caroline Marlow and given a clean bill of health, then laid an egg. Caroline said, “We think she was copying Chicken Run and trying to get away.”

A German trucker caused an accident on a busy motorway after biting into an apple and swallowing his false teeth. He told police that the animals would have continued on their journey to China, where they would have eventually been killed and eaten.
