1. Saving your targets
Have you mistakenly mixed a load of white clothes with some blue ones? Relax – you may not have caused any permanent damage. Before putting anything in the dryer, remove the damp clothes and soak them in a baking soda solution. Add half a cup of salt and half a cup of detergent. Now do the laundry as usual. It is very likely that at the end of the cycle, your white clothes will remain white without stains.

2. Dry odors from shoes
Did you know that removing moisture from shoes through sweat can prevent odors and extend the life of your shoes? Therefore, whenever you remove your shoes after a busy day, put several small pieces of white chalk on them. The pieces of chalk will absorb the moisture.

Another easy way to remove moisture from shoes is to wring out newspapers and tuck them in when shoes are not being worn. I recommend using new newspapers each time.

3. Elimination of tobacco odors
Whether or not you are a smoker, you probably know that tobacco smoke clings to everything it comes in contact with. Unfortunately, most fabrics (especially wool), even after washing, still retain the odor.

To remove it, pour some hot water into the sink and add 3 cups of vinegar. Hang the affected garment just above the sink and let the steam rise directly onto the garment. The vinegar in the steam will remove the odor without damaging the fabric. I suggest doing this in a closed room (like the bathroom) to make sure the wind doesn’t blow away the steam.

4. Shine opaque pants
Have your favorite jeans developed a shine on the seat? There is no need to worry. After washing your clothes as usual, sprinkle some vinegar on the shiny part and let your jeans dry. By the time your pair of jeans is dry, the shine will be gone.

5. How to fix flannel stains
Flannel stains are quite annoying; Anything you spill on the flannels is locked in. However, don’t let that steal your favorite shirt. All you have to do is mix an egg yolk and a tablespoon of glycerin and spread the mixture on the stain. After about half an hour, wash the shirt as usual and let it dry. Once it is dry, you will see that the stain is gone.

6. Increase your detergent
Is your detergent unsuitable to handle all your clothes? Don’t throw it out yet. Just add a little baking soda to your washing machine’s rinse cycle. It will increase the rinse power and help your clothes resist the stain that comes from hard water. You can also soak your clothes in a mixture of detergent and baking soda first. The baking soda will strengthen the detergent and remove gritty odors from your clothes. In the end, your clothes will feel softer and will definitely look cleaner. Also, you will have spent less cash.

7. Make lemon bleach
Lemon juice, whether poured into a bottle or squeezed from a lemon, is an excellent bleaching agent. The best thing about this is that it does not contain harsh or harmful chemicals like manufactured bleaches.

Lemon juice, when mixed with hot water, can bleach virtually any fabric (except silk) and make it whiter and brighter. To bleach clothes, mix half a cup of lemon juice with a gallon of boiling water. Remove the water from the fire and soak your clothes in it for about an hour. Pour some more lemon juice into your washing machine and wash your clothes as usual. Your clothes will be cleaner and as a bonus, they will have an added fresh scent.

8. Soften the towels
If you are using the dryer to dry your towels, put a tennis ball in the dryer along with your clothes. This laundry trick will make your towels softer and fluffier.
