A good trip is not self-service

Wondering how you will feel with the wind in your face while skiing down a gigantic mountain? Would you like to see the joy on your children’s faces as they conquer the mountain? Whether you’ve skied in the past and now would like to take your kids on a big trip or it’s their first time to ski, there’s plenty of fun in store.

You can find tons of information on each resort’s websites. You can begin the planning process by navigating to determine which area of the country and then which resort you and your family will want to go to for your family ski vacation. If there are beginners in the group, you’ll want to make sure there is a ski school or lessons available.

I live in Colorado and over the years I have had many visitors who I have taught to ski. I’m not so sure that my students preferred this method. Sometimes, I think, learning to ski is best taught by those who do it every day. I’m sure both my husband and I will never forget the frustration (for him) and the humor (for me) when he decided to walk downhill after a hard day of learning. Or my brother when he did not have the essence to stop very well and went down a slope that I still do not know where it ended or how we found it.

Depending on the skill level of your group, you will want to peruse the available ski slopes. If everyone is a beginner, there are resorts to suit that. Here in Colorado, almost every resort has a good variety of green, blue, and black trails.

Accommodation is the next thing to consider. It is important to be comfortable and it is good to have at least one Jacuzzi where you stay. If you are flying, you will want to make sure there is transportation to and from the runways every day. Since you’ll be enjoying the mountains, consider other activities to enjoy too: dog sled rides, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating, downhill sledding, or horseback riding.

There are many things to consider when planning. Even 10 years ago, before the internet really became popular, anyone planning a trip would contact their precious travel agent they had enlisted for the scoop. People have chosen to access their travel plans online to access information, but probably more often for better prices. In this, we’ve turned travel into a self-service business, but travel doesn’t really lend itself to that. We may get discounted prices, but in return we have sacrificed time, energy and satisfaction. Imagine knowing that no matter where you want to go, how you want to get there, where you want to stay, where you want to play, there is an experienced travel professional at your service to organize everything for you and find the best price. . Those places still exist and my recommendation is Platinum One Destinations, a company that has taken all of these things seriously and created a solution. It is a travel club backed by top notch customer service. Like ski lessons, letting the professionals handle the details will give you more freedom to enjoy your vacation. With a stress-free attitude, you can focus on creating vacation memories that you will remember for the rest of your life.
