Are you a lone wolf or a team player?

How do others see you, do they see you as a team player or as a loner? Are you someone who works behind the scenes and needs the support of others to be successful or are you promoting yourself?

Do you play alone or do you need a team around you to motivate you to the fullest? A lone wolf is someone who works and exists independently rather than with others as a member of a team. They have a strong preference for independence and for doing most things on their own.

On the contrary, the team player needs the interaction of others to help his own personal performance: we all know the cliché that two minds are better than one or the story of how the poorest sports team performed better the day they played. allowed them to beat the All Star team. So are you a lone wolf or a team player?

Consider several of the following key team personality types: the agitator, the wildcard, the leader, the workhorse, the glue, the expert, and many other characteristics that help build a team. When you look at them, you’ll see where you naturally fall, and in some cases, you can fit into more than one category. An old friend of mine, Andy, was definitely the glue: he held a disparate group of friends together, once he moved on, that group dispersed.

I think as a Lone Wolf, you need to be comfortable fitting into each of these personality types: you need to be like a chameleon to be successful, as well as incredibly self-reliant. I know that I am not a lone wolf, a flaw in my current work environment, when I often work alone. I need the interaction, jokes and support of others to help me achieve and strive for more; It’s my personality type. Locking myself in a room just feels like solitary confinement to me.

There are times when we all need to be together or we all need to be alone, the skill is knowing when and acting accordingly, finding the right team to help you achieve more, and going it alone when you need to. It will never happen that waiting for someone else to fix it for you: take the initiative and create the best environment for your personality, you will achieve much more happiness and success.
