It has been said that you are what you eat: in homeopathy, you are what you feel

Each homeopathic remedy belongs to a certain class of remedies that have their own set of general characteristics. The three main classes or kingdoms are Plants, Minerals, and Animals. Within each of these kingdoms there are sub-kingdoms, as in the Mineral Class are salts and metals. The sub-kingdoms share the same general characteristics of the main kingdom, but also have their own individual characteristics that vary depending on the degree of compensation and despair. Within each sub-kingdom are the members; again, each member has its own special characteristics that define the remedy to be used.

While reviewing a case during the interview process, homeopaths often look for key features that help them determine which class the patient’s symptoms fall into. This is especially important when it comes to curing long-term or chronic ailments such as asthma, chronic infections, diabetes, etc. For acute or new conditions, although class characteristics are important, changes in a person’s physical state, mental processes, and/or emotions are generally used to identify which homeopathic remedy would be indicated.

For example, when a bee stings a person, the symptoms of that sting would be considered ACUTE, since they are new changes. Instead of looking at the characteristics of a class, one would look at the changes that have occurred since the bite. The healing remedy could be found in any class and would be used based on current symptoms. In the case of a bee sting, the two most indicated remedies are Ledum palustre (a plant remedy) and Apis mellifica (an animal remedy).

For the healing of LONG TERM CHRONIC DISEASES, the remedy realms and their sub-realms must be considered for true healing to occur. It may be possible to select a remedy without considering the perceptions and sensations within each remedy; however, for the complete elimination of the disease and all its components, one MUST search deeply for the indicated remedies.

The first step is to determine the Kingdom. Once again, the three main homeopathic kingdoms are plants, minerals, and animals.

seedlings

The common feature of the plant is sensitivity. Plants can’t just “pick up and go” if the weather is bad or they don’t like the neighbors. Therefore, they are sensitive to their surroundings and everything around them because they have to adapt and adjust accordingly. Several of the plant sub-kingdoms are trees, herbs, and fungi.

An example of a plant sub-kingdom is compound in which all members share the sensitivity of being hurt or hurt; all of its members have their own expression of being hurt or wounded, like arnica montana has a “bruised feeling” while chamomile he has “a reaction to hurting others.”

minerals

Minerals are the elements of the periodic table, or some combination of these elements. The main characteristics of all the elements are structure and order/organization. Everything built from a mineral has uniformity and structure. The greatest concern of those who need a mineral remedy is the loss of that structure in some way in their life, such as when a person loses their livelihood after the loss of a job, or when the structure of the family changes after the death of another. one of the parents or by divorce. .

The two main sub-kingdoms of minerals are salts and metals. Each row and column of the Periodic Table has its own characteristics. For example, the elements in the first column are very unstable and react with other elements because they need the stability that the other elements provide; while the last column is very stable by itself and does not need any other (other elements). As for the rows, they progress from simple thoughts and beginnings and progress in heaviness and complexity as the table moves down, ending in disintegration and decay around rows 6 and 7.

Homeopaths often look at which row and column a person is in when they have been identified as having the main characteristics of a mineral remedy.

animals

The main themes of the Animal Kingdom are survival, competition issues and aggressor/victim. Most people can understand the problems of the animal kingdom due to our familiarity with animals. Animals in the wild focus on survival; some are predators (aggressors) and others are prey (victims). Animals work hard to attract mates (survival) and to be the head of the herd or pack (competition), as well as to find food (survival). Looking at any animal, one can easily see these characteristics displayed in some way.

Once these characteristics are known, they are usually identifiable in people. A person may dress in unusual clothing to attract the attention of others. Sometimes two men fight over a woman, or two women fight over a man. In relationships, a dominant man often subdues or suffocates those he perceives to be “under” him (his wife and his children).

Like the Plants and Minerals, the Animal Kingdom also has sub-kingdoms. Each one has the key features of the main realm, but again, each one also has its own characteristics. For example, the main features of Snake Remedies (which focus on survival) are that they lie in wait and attack when least expected; They suffocate the lives of their victims. Also included in the Animal Kingdom are spiders, insects, mammals, birds, and sea creatures.

Identifying the Kingdom

In general, it may seem that it would be an easy task to determine which class the remedy would be in to start the healing process of an individual. Surprisingly, a homeopath must look beyond thoughts and observe the perceptions to find the kingdom.

I will use a personal example. When I was first learning these three classes, I looked at different people in my life at the time and said, “She’s definitely an animal” or “She’s a plant” depending on what characteristics I saw the person display and how they talked. and she acted. But I was wrong in my assumptions. I didn’t look deep enough.

A friend I thought was an “Animal” acted like he was the king of the world. He expected everyone to comply with his orders while he did everything he wanted to do without considering the feelings of others. He was right and if you didn’t believe him, then tough. He had to get to the table first to fill his plate first, and then everyone else could have what was left. He was the boss and he couldn’t do anything wrong.

So of course I felt like it had animal characteristics.

But what was the sentiment or perception behind those actions? Looking deeper, she was afraid. He felt that his survival depended on his being right. He was afraid of losing his position in society and in the eyes of others, so he acted as if he was smarter, stronger and in a higher position than others. Although some of these features are features of Animal Remedy, because he was afraid of what others would think or that others might “dethrone” him, those are features of Mineral Remedy. In the end, my friend was a “Mineral Remedy” and the indicated remedy was arsenic album.

His wife, on the other hand, I saw as a “plant”. She was calm and docile; she always seemed to be worried about her health. She cried easily (sensitive). She rarely left the house and when she did, she was eager to get back as quickly as possible (rooted).

But when I looked deeper into the reasons behind his actions, I found that his perceptions were those of a victim. She was always afraid of her husband or how she would be treated by him, so she cried a lot about her. And she was afraid to leave her house because she didn’t know how long it would be okay for her to be gone. She said that she felt like a mouse caught in the clutches of a snake. She did very well with a “snake remedy”.

Therefore, always look deeply into the person’s beliefs and perceptions to find out why they act the way they do. Do not assume that his actions will point to the correct Kingdom.
