Plot

Lots of zombies, ghouls, and fat people are going crazy downtown and heading to your RV park! You need to build an unlikely army made up of men with shovels, angry farmers, and preachers to quell the attack and prevent them from destroying your beloved home. Now where is that damn trident of Cletus?

The goal is to destroy the zombie base before they destroy yours. You generate money every few seconds that can be used to buy units or buildings. Each enemy destroyed gives you more ‘yee-haw’ points that you can use to summon one of the three super attacks when you have achieved the necessary points.

In the tools of the game

Units

  • Shovel man: The lowest denominator of a soldier. A man with a shovel walks towards the enemy waving a shovel. Hand-to-hand combat is your only hope.
  • Cost $ 50
  • Angry Farmer: The man is crazy. Armed with a shotgun, he tries to kill the enemy from a distance, while at the same time trying to avoid any close combat.
  • Cost $ 200
  • Survivalist: A mechanical killing machine. The monster mounted on a machine gun advances towards the enemy and takes down the approaching soldiers.
  • Cost $ 900
  • Moonshine Bomber: A man armed with a deadly Moonshine throws Molotov-style bottles at the enemy. Like the Angry Farmer, his forte is avoiding any melee combat and killing enemies from a distance.
  • Cost $ 350
  • Preacher: If you can’t turn to God, who can you turn to? The preacher tries to convert the oncoming enemy to turn to the bright side and help save the trailer park. A truly noble cause.
  • Cost $ 1,500

Buildings

  • Salvage yard: help generate more money faster
  • Cost $ 500
  • Trailer: Each trailer purchase increases the maximum army cap by 5.
  • Cost $ 250
  • Farm House – the breeding ground for angry farmers. Buying this allows you to unleash the angry farmers on the enemy.
  • Cost $ 1,000
  • Garage: where the survivor is built. Buying this allows you to build the survival machine.
  • $ 1,500
  • Still: this is where you can whip up some Moonshine Bombers. Buying this allows you to buy Moonshine bombers.
  • $ 1200
  • Chapel: allows you to call the messengers of God in your fight. Buying this allows you to buy Preachers.
  • $ 1,500

Yee-Haw Powers

  • Angry mobs (unlocked after 3000 yee-haw points): The man is that angry mob. Unleash a large band of people on a mission to kill the enemy.
  • Harvester (Unlocked after 4000 yee-haw points): Take down the enemy with a harvester.
  • Air Strike (unlocked after 5,000 yee-haw points) – Bombs fall from the sky on your enemy, clearing the landscape of vermin trying to destroy your RV park.

Tips

  • Send multiple soldiers at the same time instead of one or two. One group is more effective than one or two laggards
  • Be careful not to compromise the soldiers too much, sending paleros against the fat ones is useless
  • Use Yee-haw’s abilities wisely. Attract the enemy when you use the Harvester or Air Strike to kill more enemies at once
  • Send out the cavalry after a yee-haw attack, thus depleting the zombie base’s energy.
  • Call the Preacher as soon as he’s available, once you start turning enemies against themselves, victory is in sight.
  • The jumpers can jump on your soldiers, keep some money in reserve to allow quick purchase of soldiers to kill these jumpers when they approach your base.

Positives and negatives

Positive

  • It’s free and better than many paid apps. You should download this game as it is a) fun to play and b) free!
  • Easy to learn game, only 11 options in the game make it easy to know what to do and when
  • Game Center compatibility adds longevity to the game. You will continue to live for an even better time to try and climb the leaderboard.
  • The intricate nature of the game means that tactics can change in an instant depending on which enemy is attacking you.
  • Different enemies are susceptible to different attack methods.
  • A fun mountain theme is maintained, from the location to the units and buildings.
  • Not necessarily all attack-minded games, waiting for the enemy to advance with a yee-haw power (Harvester and Air strike) in reserve will pay dividends.

Negative

  • It would be nice to know how close you are to unlocking achievements that involve doing something multiple times, like killing 10,000 zombies.
  • Different origins for the different stages would have been more attractive.
  • More stages to complete would be nice
  • Sometimes the game crashes after submitting a score to Game Center
