Do some research and find out if you think a team will cover the spread or not. If your favorite team wins and covers the spread, that’s where the game day enjoyment really comes in.

Tip #2

Avoid combination bets. Simply put, this type of bet is a collection of two or more teams that you place a bet on, but all teams have to cover for you to win your bet. Parlays are very popular with many hobby punters. Why, because of the big potential payoff for a small bet. But if you’re interested in making money, I’d advise staying away from parlays unless you’re taking the advice of a professional sports selector.
