Let’s take a look at its ingredients.
Semolina (RAWA)
Curd
ground peanuts
Salt to taste
shredded cabbage
Chopped pepper
grated carrots
grated spring onions
bean sprouts
Then we have chopped coriander to decorate, and lemon juice.
Let’s look at the recipe for semolina pancakes.
BATTERY MIX FOR PANCAKES:
First of all we have to take a mixing bowl.
Take half a cup of semolina.
Add to this half a cup of curd.
The amount of curd and semolina should be the same.
Add a tablespoon of crushed peanuts and 3-4 grams of salt.
We have to soak it in two tablespoons of water.
Mix it well.
Soak for about 3-4 minutes while the texture is not smooth.
By the time the grits soak into the curds, create a mix for the topping.
MIX FOR THE COURT:
Take a mixing bowl and add some shredded cabbage, followed by shredded bell pepper and shredded carrots. Then add the chopped onions and some sprouts.
Now we will add about 2-3 grams of salt and stir it properly.
Now let’s check the dough.
You can add a drop or two of oil to the dough if you wish, that way it would be greasy inside.
The semolina mixture is almost ready.
COOKING:
Now we are going to heat the pan to make pancakes.
Add 2-3 drops of oil or fat to the pan.
Now we will make pancakes about 3-4 mm thick, and we will spread them well.
We have to cook it over medium heat, so that the semolina cooks well and acquires a beautiful color.
As soon as it is cooked from the bottom, spread the coverage that we had made upwards.
It takes about 1 -1/2 minutes to cook it over medium heat.
There is an easy way to find out if the semolina pancake is cooked from the bottom or not.
If we slightly tilt the pan, then if the pancake is cooked, it will leave the base and move.
Flip the grits pancake over and cook after one side is cooked. You will find that the vegetables are well submerged in the pancake.
Wait about 30 seconds, so that the top cooks through well too and there is a nice golden color to the ingredients.
The pancake is ready.
Decorate the semolina pancake with chopped coriander and serve with tomato sauce!
