Taxidermy Mount Care How To Make Your Mounts Look Their Best

He has spent the summer reviewing his trail camera downloads and is excited to see some big trophies in his hunting area. So you prepare until the end of the summer and into the fall by making sure your aim and that all your equipment works properly.

After double-checking all of your gear, you wait for sunrise to light up the sky, it slowly starts to get brighter, and you hear a noise directly in front of you.

You shoot without breathing, aim carefully and pull the trigger. Your trophy is down and you have another wonderful season under your belt.

Without proper care of your taxidermy mount, you may be causing your mount to disappear faster than you think. Through neglect or perhaps too much care, your mount’s life could be shortened, not lengthened.

You’ve worked hard to get your trophy destroyed by neglect, bugs, and dirt.

One thing that has struck me is the dirt in a clean trophy room.

But I can find places in those rooms that are feeding places for harmful insects.

These areas are neglected by most homeowners and homemakers, cleaners, and maids.

This place could have been neglected since the house was built, or maybe yours got a deep spring cleaning.

Take out the vacuum and suck these areas and then clean them.

The accumulation of dead things is a snack bar for the same critters that will eat and destroy your taxidermy mounts.
